Fall Asleep In God's Word
You Cant Attain God By Scripture Study Alone
Using scripture to study the word of God is the best way to gain access to the God that you love. However, there are some things you should know before you start. Here are a few tips:
How Scripture can help you live a good life
If you want to know how to gain access to God, it is not by reading religious texts alone. You must also read the Bible in its entirety. This is because the Bible is the only source of truth that can provide you with guidance on how to live a good life. The Bible provides us with teachings on how to be moral and righteous, as well as on how to find happiness and joy. It also teaches us about the nature of God, His commandments, and His resources.
Be doers of the word, not hearers
Getting a hold of God’s word and putting it into practice is a good thing. It is not enough to simply study it. You must apply it to your speech. If you don’t, you are cheating yourself.
James makes a great point in saying that you must be a doer of the word. The Bible lays out specific commands concerning speech, including the use of the tongue. Sadly, many professing Christians are doers of the word but not of the Bible. If you are not a doer of the Word, you will not be blessed.
The Word of God is not a mere form of worship; it is a lifestyle. If you wish to become a doer of the Word, you must be willing to change your heart. To do this, you need to obey the gospel. The gospel transforms your heart and helps you love your neighbors.
James uses an illustration to help his readers understand the value of putting the Word of God into practice. He compares those who do the doing to a man looking into a mirror. The mirror illustrates the idea that a person does not know something until they put it into action.
It is true that a person does not know what the Bible says until they actually apply it to their speech. It is also true that a person does not know what they can do until they do it.
Limit the amount of time you spend on social media or entertainment
Because there are so many social media platforms, we can connect with our friends and family whenever we want to. This in turn helps minimize our exposure to harmful social media blunders, like sexting. Nevertheless, the same can be said for our friends and family members, who may or may not be interested in our religious persuasion.
If we are to be viewed as the true ambassadors of God in our own right, then our adherence to the faith must be exemplary. This is especially the case during the holidays, when our focus is on others, rather than ourselves. To avoid this, we must limit our social media usage.
To avoid this, we must limit the amount of time we spend on social media to the bare minimum, preferably within an hour of the recommended maximum time. This will allow us to maximize our quality of life while ensuring that our family remains intact.
This, in turn, will allow us to focus on what matters most. We can then enjoy a stress-free holiday season. If you follow the aforementioned tips, you can be certain that your holiday season will be spent squeezing the most out of the limited amount of time you have with your friends and family.
Jesus is the only “way” to God
Several times in the Bible, Jesus is called the only “way” to God. This is a reference to Christ’s role in salvation. It is also a reminder that no other person or religion can bring anyone to the knowledge of the one true God.
This claim is based on two main arguments: Firstly, Jesus’ resurrection from the dead proves that he is the only way to heaven. Secondly, he has fulfilled the Old Testament promises of “life” that were given by God.
In other words, if we reject Jesus, we incur the condemnation and wrath of God. On the other hand, if we accept him as our Lord and Saviour, we will enjoy eternal life.
In Colossians, the writer teaches that Christ is the only one who can save us. He is the creator of all things and is seated at the right hand of God. The author says that Jesus is also the Lord of glory and superior to all angels.
John makes a similar statement in his Gospel. He claims that no one who denies the Son has the Father. Moreover, John emphasizes that Jesus is the only Mediator between God and man. He is also the only sacrifice for sin.
Many people attempt to lay another foundation for salvation. But the Bible clearly teaches that there is no other way to God.
